Copyright & DMCA

Athletes and coaches upload their own training videos to RepReview. We respect copyright and respond to valid notices under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe something on RepReview copies your work, tell us and we'll act.
Report a copyright problem
Send a written notice to our copyright agent (below). To be valid, U.S. law (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)) says it must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- The copyrighted work you say was infringed (or a representative list, if there are several).
- The material you want removed and enough detail for us to find it — for example the athlete or coach, the date, and a link or screenshot.
- Your name, address, phone number and email.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information is accurate and — under penalty of perjury — that you're the owner or authorised to act for them.
A notice missing these parts may not be valid. Don't send a false claim: § 512(f) makes you liable for damages if you knowingly misrepresent that material is infringing.
What we do with it
When we get a valid notice we remove or disable the material, tell the person who posted it, and pass on your notice so they can respond. Because videos are deleted once a coach has reviewed them, the material in question may already be gone.
If your content was removed
If you think your material was taken down by mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same agent. It must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- The material that was removed and where it used to be.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the U.S., any district where we may be found), and that you'll accept service from the person who filed the original notice.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant tells us they've filed a court action to keep it down.
Repeat infringers
We suspend or terminate accounts that infringe copyright repeatedly.
